The NEWART.PHOTO was initially designed for selling palpable samples of visual art, hand made crafts, collectible cameras and other things related to photography. When we finished working on this version of our site, it occured to us that the photography world has changed far beyond our anticipation. One thing was dead certain: it is a mission impossible to sell photography as palpable Art today. An image is perceived as data nowadays.

Therefore, the problem of "images as content" had to be solved. First, they have to be stored somewhere and, for this purpose, many CDNs have been created during the last years. Today, these CDNs are awaiting content producers as their prospective clients. There is going to be only two possible paradigms: you will either have your content on all-inclusive sites and you won't have to personally mess up with CDNs, but you'll have to pay regularly for your stay with these sites(which may or may not transfer your images to a CDN thus making them directly linkable, i.e. unprotected), or you will stick with NEWART.PHOTO (which is free and lives from advertising) and will have to tame a CDN of your choice in long-term perspective. In this case, you'll pay to the CDN you choose far less money than you would to a "all-in-one" site.

Replying to the question where the topheader images are stored: they are mostly stored directly on this server, but they also can be anywhere in the Internet. When your site status is upgraded to "Artist", "Crafter" or "Model" by the Administrator, your images will appear randomly among 8 topheader images in three corresponding views (Switch To Arts View, Switch To Crafts View, Switch To Model View). In order to change your site status, you can submit your exclusive and most interesting images here.

We opted for person-to-person communication by means of e-mail or of any possible messengers outside our site. To start communicating with an Artist or a Model who didn't make their e-mail or their phone number publicly available, simply attribute more than 50 points to any set of images belonging to them. For any concrete image set you can do it only once per month. The Artist or the Model will be informed about your gift immediately and automatically by mail and, if they feel thankful, they will drop you a line of gratitude, because your e-mail address will be revealed to them in this case. Their reply may leed to a conversation or even to a collaboration. They are not obliged to respond, so be prepared to face different attitudes.
